Benefits:
NBX R4.4 Software Enhancements 3Com NBX R4.4 System Software provides software support for the new NBX V3000 Networked Telephony Solution as well as delivers two important new features: zone paging and personal operator. Zone paging allows the customer to customize up to nine paging groups that allow select users on the NBX system to be paged. Personal Operator allows users to choose a phone number to be their operator coverage rather than using the default system operator. Zone
Paging Prior to R4.4 , users could only page all devices at once, but now users can create subsets of devices to page select members of a group. The NBX administrator can define up to nine (9) page zones, disable paging on individual phones, allow only zone members to page their zone, and allow only zone members to view their zone's membership. See Sales Presentation at the end of this notice for more details on this feature. Note – A separate license is NOT required for zone paging feature. NBX R4.4 and Zone Paging is not supported on NBX 100 or SS3 NBX platforms. Zone Paging will be available on NBX 100 and SS3 NBX in the NBX Release 5.0 system software. Personal
Operator Prior to R4.4, callers who were transferred to voice mail were only given the option to dial 0 to be transferred to the system-wide operator. With R4.4 system software on the NBX V3000 platform, users can define a personal operator number in addition to the system-wide operator. This allows callers an additional option to contact a live person in the event they are transferred to voice mail. Users can easily change their personal operator number via the intuitive NetSet web-based user portal. Users can define the number as an internal extension or external phone number (e.g. cell phone), in order to customize their call coverage for what suits their needs. Important User Note: A user employing personal operator must indicate on their personal voice mail greeting that an operator is available by pressing the appropriate access digit during the voice mail greeting. Users can define 0 or 9 as their personal operator access number. The NBX administrator can disable personal operator for select users. A separate license is NOT required for personal operator feature. NBX R4.4 and Personal Operator is not supported on NBX 100 or SS3 NBX platforms. Personal Operator will be available on NBX 100 and SS3 NBX in the NBX Release 5.0 system software. |
